Jimme Keizer is Assistant Professor at the sub-department of Innovation, Technology Entrepreneurship and Marketing of the Eindhoven University of Technology. He has a masters degree in (industrial and organizational) psychology and a doctoral degree in social sciences from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen.
His work in education and research focusses on new product development theory and practice. He specialized in the management of risks in complex projects. He has been engaged in several research and consulting projects with companies among which Philips Electronics and Unilever. Publications have appeared in the Journal of Product Innovation Management, Technovation, R&D Mgmnt, RT Mgmnt. In the area of risk management he gives guest lectures and workshops, e.g. at the UMBS in Maastricht.
He participated in EU-funded research and development programs (4th and 5th FP) in the areas of workspace development and risk management.
Since 1990 he has been engaged in the development and dissimination of approaches that aim at enhancing the quality of bachelor and master thesis projects in higher education. This interest resulted in books co-authered with Piet Kempen: Business Research Projects (Taylor & Francis, 2006) and Competent Afstuderen en Stagelopen, Noordhof, 4de druk, 2011). A new edition af CAS is in preparation in which the design science approach is integrated.
