Sharon Dolmans is Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship and Technology Commercialization. She holds a BSc in Business and a MSc in Finance from Tilburg University, a premaster in Econometrics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and a PhD in Technology Commercialization from Eindhoven University of Technology (2013). In 2011 she spent six months as a visiting researcher at the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland.
Sharon's research interests are decision making and collaboration in entrepreneurship and technology commercialization processes. Her work covers topics such as resource constraints, creativity, evaluation and selection of technology, academic/ high-tech startups, triple-helix partnerships and entrepreneurship education - drawing on both qualitative and quantitative methods.
Sharon's work has appeared in Organization Studies, Journal of Technology Transfer, International Review of Entrepreneurship, Handbook of Research on Entrepreneurship and Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research.
Sharon's teaching activities include the master course Entrepreneurial Finance - covering topics such as sources of funding, the venture capital industry, R&D valuation and real options analysis. In addition she is involved in the bachelor course Introduction Technology Entrepreneurship.
